@daughteroftheking, I totally missed the driving conversation! I got my permit in May, and am currently being taught (occasionally) by my parents. Did you fail your driver’s test or something?@shannon Thank you!

Hey guys, I need a bit of prayer. Basically, despite being Asian, my parents enrolled me into a Chinese teaching class. I did pretty well last year and I was allowed to skip a grade. My first class is tomorrow, so please pray that things will go well and everybody won’t be TOO advanced for me. I’m a fast learner so please pray that I won’t be too intimidated and be able to witness to my classmates there as well. Thanks!

@xonos-darkgrate yes will do! I have a friend who’s a missionary to a french/ tribal speaking country, and she’s told me bout how hard learning a new language can be sometimes.

Well, technically, my parents say it’s all in my subconscious. (my parents raised me speaking Chinese until I had to start school), so really, they said I need to go so I can “remember”. I can understand Chinese, but I’ve forgotten how to speak it evidently…

Oh, to get your permit. I see. Did you take it online? I did, and failed it once. I was pretty upset, but I did some studying and took some notes and then I passed it. I think I had the most trouble remembering the numbers that you use to answer questions like, “how far away are you required to park from the curb?” It does seem kinda pointless, because I’m not going to get out my ruler and measure how far away from the curb I am when I park, but I guess they just want to make sure you read the material. Oh well, such is life ; ) @daughteroftheking

@Shannon No, I went to the DMV or whatever it’s called and took it there so a bunch of total strangers could see how nervous I was. 😉 This is terrible, but I’m kind of glad I’m not the only one who failed the first time. Not that I’m happy you failed, but, well, you get my point?
