Also, I just decided that I’m going to play my guitar at his funeral on Saturday, and I’m pretty nervous because I’m a beginner and I’ve never done anything like this before, so if you could pray that I’ll have courage and play with grace, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks, @sarah-h , @emma-flournoy , @ethryndal . I played “I’ll Fly Away” and “Amazing Grace” at the funeral today. I was terribly nervous and made lots of mistakes, but more people than I can count came up to me after the service to thank me and tell me that they enjoyed it, so I’m glad. I wanted to do this for my uncle, so … I’m glad I did. It was terrifying, and sad, but worth it. I am just so thankful to God for giving me the strength to make it through the performance, and for making it not unpleasant to listen to despite all the errors, which was my greatest worry. God is good, you know? 🙂

Hello peoples… I don’t usually post on here for myself, but I have a request this time. Nothing major, just something I feel like I need a lot of prayer on. 😛 Long story short, I’m going to be singing the offertory for the church we attend in the Easter service. And I forgot that the congregation is usually twice its normal size on Easter. I was nervous enough before, and now that I’ve remembered that I feel sick just thinking about it.

Oh my. What an honour and what a responsibility. Easter’s suddenly very close, isn’t it? I’ll try to remember as we get closer to the date, and pray for your practicing as well as the actual day. Sometimes practicing is where you make all the mistakes, at least in my limited experience.@kate-flournoy Sure thing.
