Haha *snorts* Gasp. Wow! *chokes on apple that she’s eating* cough, cough. Oh my goodness. You guys are so creative. I’m terrible at limericks. And I used to have to write them all the time for my school work. 😀

Once upon a time there was a tinker,
Everyone called him quite the thinker,
        He thought without pausing,
        Til his smell was appalling,
Now everyone calls him quite the stinker.

I was out for a walk with my dog.
But we got lost in the fog.
          Oh what should I do?
          I was feeling so blue.
So I just sat down on a log.

@bluejay, Haha, I like it! You’re not terrible at limericks at all. 🙂

You guys are ALL very creative! Wow— who knew this forum was full of poetic geniuses! 😉

              @Gretald
, I would just switch up the syllables a bit in your limerick, though it does fit the form. Yours was

There was a girl called Connie,
              Whose sister’s name was Bonnie,
              She was so wee,
              That she will be,
              Always with their Mommy.

              Try:

There once was a girl named Connie,
Who had a small sister named Bonnie.
              This girl was so wee
              That she’ll always be
              Forever, for always, with Mommy.

That’s really cute, by the way— I have a few siblings like that. 😉

@kate-flournoy, Ooo! I like it. By the way, you don’t have to ask about giving me feedback. Feedback helps me grow as a writer, and I’m always looking for people who are willing to give it. 🙂

Well hey, that’s good to know @gretald! That’s how I am too— but I just wanted to make sure I didn’t offend anyone who maybe didn’t feel that way. 😉

*clears throat importantly, glares around with red pen poised quivering in clenched fingers* Next?

                  😉

There once was a garbageman fair
Who had sparkling teeth and blond hair
                    He never quite knew
                    Why young ladies said “Eeew”
And the ones that really liked him were rare.

There once was a lizard called Ted.
Who lived in an old tin shed.
                        His head was dark blue,
                        And his tail was too,
But he wished that they had been red.
