Okay…so my favourite out of all of Chuck Black’s books that I’ve ever heard or listened to is definitely Wars of the Realm. Please read them!!!!!! They’re one of my favourite series. They’re not fantasy, only there is a dragon creature in it, but it’s more sci-fi-except it’s not. Basically, I can’t really tell you because I might spoil the story. 🙁 I didn’t like the Kingdom Series as much, though I haven’t read or heard all of them. There’s actually a review of Wars of the Realm
Sigmund Brouwer is really good! Yes, he did write the Orphan King, which is number 1 in Merlin’s Immortals. So, he’s one of my favourite authors ’cause I’ve read a series by him called Winds of Light-also a big favourite! They were re-printed as Merlin’s Immortals and they changed quite a bit from what I’ve heard. So sad! If you’re able to get your hands on the originals, A. K. A. Winds of Light, please don’t pass up the opportunity, they are crazy good! They’re historical fiction…absolutely amazing…. 🙂 🙂 🙂

I haven’t read any of Sigmund Brouwer’s other books, but I know that he wrote Sci-Fi as he wrote the Robot Wars Series a while ago. I have a friend who’s read the first one apparently it was good. 🙂

@emily-d I have a friend who loves the Wars of the Realm series. It’s kind of funny, but I was picturing Sigmund Brouwer as an old time author from a long time ago, then I looked him up and saw the Robot Wars series and I was like, “Nope, definitely not from the 1800’s.” 😜 I guess because Sigmund seems like an old fashioned name to me.
I haven’t listened much to The Afters, but I have one song by them I really like called, “Every Good Thing.”
