I wrote a backstory for my antagonist, Ethan. It’s about 4,000 words.
So basically this how part of the reason my antagonist became… bad. He’s 10, and his brother, Miles, is 12.

@jessi-rae Thanks! I would’ve included more about Jessica (actually, in my rough draft I did, but I had to take it out because it didn’t work with the final draft), and I think if I continue the story I will.
The Forest is really cool and confusing and mysterious. I couldn’t figure out how to say everything about it in this.INFJ ~ 4w5

aldarley.wordpress.com@epicaddie2 That’s where you write the entire story and have the characters go through different things to show all the details with The Forest being cool and confusing and mysterious… 🙂
@jessi-rae Yeah. This is only a backstory from the POV of my antagonist. I have a whole other thing that I am in the process of rewriting right now that will have more details about The Forest.

I actually think rewriting is the best part. Because then I can finally get it “perfect.” Of course, that’s when I actually make it to the rewriting stage…

@jessi-Rae I started rewriting a few weeks ago, but I haven’t really done much. Instead I started working on writing character backstories.

aldarley.wordpress.com@epicaddie2 Character backstories are fun. 🙂 I’m working on a Snow White retelling for the Rooglewood contest, and the only thing I’ve accomplished so far are a few backstories. Mainly for the protagonist.
@jessi-Rae Nice! I haven’t actually written any backstories for my MC. Only for three different side characters and my antagonist. I should probably start rewriting again.

aldarley.wordpress.com@epicaddie2 I write backstories for everybody (it’s probably a form of procrastination… *sheepish grin*) But rewriting again might be a good idea, if you hope to finish whatever draft you’re on any time soon. 🙂 I need to actually start writing my rough draft. 😀
