@christi-eaton Howl’s Moving Castle is a book?! Who wrote it? 😀
OOOOH, A.S. Peterson! I didn’t know he wrote books! Isn’t he Andrew Peterson’s son? I might just check him out

You can pronounce it however you want.

@salome01w4g Did I post something about a suspect series? I have no clue what that is. Maybe you didn’t mean to tag me…

@emily what I meant is” what is the offending series shannon claims is better?”

@salome01w4g Ooooh! Now that makes sense. It’s the Brothers at Arms series. They’re written by a guy named John J. Horn. The author of the Baker Family Adventures actually recommended them. KP also did a book review on them a while back.

@emily ooooh yeah those… I won’t agree with Shannon that they’re the best, but they come in second place.

@salome01w4g I haven’t got around to reading them yet. I have way too long of a to read list.

@dekreel Diana Wynne Jones wrote Howl’s Moving Castle and A.S. Peterson is actually Andrew’s brother. And A.S. Peterson’s wife is Jennifer Trafton. 🙂 So there, Peterson family tree for ya 😉

@Christi-Eaton I really need to read something by that Peterson guy sometime… Or both of them, as the case may be. What’s A.S. Peterson’s A name? But Andrew Peterson, author of the W. Saga, is the guy with all the great songs, right?

A few of my favorite historical fiction books are:

                              Johnny Tremain

                              The Scarlet Pimpernel

Carry on Mr. Bowditch (I think this is one of the best)

                              The Bronze Bow

I know these ones are pretty popular, but they are some of the best

@salome01w4g  Hey Hannah!  So, I’m pretty sure that you’ve left the library by now 😉 but I thought that I’d jump in and share.  I LOVE historical fiction!!  The Winds of Light series by Sigmund Brouwer are awesome (though they’re called Merlin’s Immortals now I think, they’ve been reprinted).  I have to agree with Shannon though and say that so far in what I’ve read/listened to on audio Roman Britain Trilogy is really good.  Also, Elizabeth George Speare wrote The Bronze Bow, which I absolutely love.  It’s worth checking out!  🙂

I tell my story. Not so that I get glory, but so that others may know Hope.

@inkling-for-Christ Ha!  I just saw that we recommended the same book.  That’s funny.  Fellow writer, we must be on the same page 😉
