Begin Your Novel Contest Update!
I’m sure many of you have been anxiously awaiting the results of the Begin Your Novel writing contest. I am here to inform you that we have completed the first round of judging!
We received more submissions than we had anticipated (over 100) and so it took us a little longer to narrow down the field than we thought it would. There were so many good submissions, it was difficult for us to trim the entries down to just the top ten to send to Braden and Jacki for the final round of judging—in fact—it was too hard! We couldn’t do it!
Instead, we decided to send on the top 25 submissions on to the second and final round. We should be revealing the winners next week, so stay tuned!

So, for people who didn’t make it to the next round, can we still find out how we scored or not? Just wondering, no big deal if not. 🙂
We are not releasing those scores; however, once the winners are announced, we will talk about common mistakes we saw, and where improvement can be made going forward. 🙂
