@kate-flournoy I had a writing break through thanks to your lovely advice!!! (which you probably don’t remember giving 😉 ) Lemme explain. A while ago I posted a scene from the beginning of my book and your critique was that the story didn’t flow quite right when I wrote like this… he said something, then did something, then did something then said something… etc. I had never thought about what a habit that was! It’s so true! That’s how I’ve written since I was like 17! Your advice… Say something, do something, add a thought, then do something else. I tried it lately and oh doesn’t it makes the story flow so much better! I was rewarded by reading my latest writings to my sister (my biggest critique) and she said it was a super intriguing scene and mentioned that it was because of the flow. Thanks for the advice! *gives Kate a flourishing bow*

Congratulations. 😀 *returns flourishing bow* In my experience, truly strong prose is usually one of the last things to come… glad it’s clicking in place for you! 😀
@kate-flournoy Oh dear! *hands you some duck tape to fix the split in your face* I surely did not mean for that to happen 😀 I’m glad it’s clicking in place too! (at long last!!!!) One of those things that make you think… hmmm… I wished I’d learned this years ago.
